TUGUEGARAO CITY – Nine people were injured while one died after a trailer truck collided with a closed van in Tuao, Cagayan last night.

The authorities were suspecting the reason of the accident was due to the slippery road.

Arnel Ulakit, driver of the closed van, was declared dead on arrival.

While seven passengers of the trailer truck were also hurt.

Pol. S/Sgt. Voltaire Cabbangan of Tuao-Philippine National Police said they are now confirming if two of the other passengers were also dead.

He also added that based on their investigation, the truck driver tried to avoid a drop wire.

However, it went straight tp the other lane due to the slippery road.
