Hindi pa man nadi-discharge mula sa opistal ang tatlong Pinoy repatriates mula Diamond Princess cruise ship na isinugod dahil sa pinaghihinalaang sintomas ng COVID-19 ay nadadagdagan pa ng dalawa ang kanilang bilang.
Ito ang kinumpirma ni Health Sec. Francisco Duque matapos umanong uminda ng sakit sa lalamunan ang dalawa pa mula sa mga ni-repatriate na Pinoy.
“Additionally, DOH has just received information that there are two more repatriates who were brought to a referral health facility because of sore throat. Their specimens were collected and sent for testing at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine,” ayon sa statement ng ahensya.
“While we are still waiting for the other test results, we assure the public that our referral hospitals are well-equipped and prepared to handle COVID-19 cases once they arise. Our health response team at the quarantine facility is being extra cautious to prevent further health risks,” ani Sec. Duque.
Una ng nag-negatibo sa COVID-19 ang dalawa mula sa tatlong lalaking repatriate na na-ospital. Hindi na raw nila kailangan pang sumailalim sa panibagong test, pero mahigpit pa rin silang imo-monitor.
Ganito rin ang gagawin sa walong crewmen unang nag-positibo sa coronavirus habang nasa barko, na ‘di kalaunan ay gumaling kaya nakasama sa higit 400 ni-repatriate.
Sa kabuuan, 85 Pinoy ang nag-positibo sa COVID-19 habang nasa ibayong dagat.
“There are a total of 85 confirmed COVID-19 cases among Overseas Filipinos (OF) around the globe. Japan recorded the most OF cases with a total of 80 (70 admitted, 10 discharged), followed by UAE and Hongkong, with two cases each, and Singapore with one case. The most recent case was a 29-year old Filipina who was admitted to a health facility in Hong Kong. The patient is currently in stable condition,” nakasaad sa pahayag ng ahensya.
“COVID-19 continuously affects our kababayans overseas. The Philippine government remains at their service, and would devotedly extend our assistance wherever they are in the world,” ayon sa kalihim.
Nanindigan naman ang Health department sa paalala nito sa publiko na nagpapaiwas munang pumunta sa matataong lugar.
Ito’y sa gitna ng paghahanda ng Department of Tourism sa ikinasa nilang month-long nationwide sale sa susunod na buwan.
