CEBU CITY – Two separate shootings across the town of Cebu took place over the last 24 hours. The Philippine National Police is currently investigating the death of two men and a maritime police officer.

Earlier, Alvin Morales and Joel Generalao were both killed in Dumlog, Talisay City after posting bail against violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

Police Investigator Sergeant Glenn Besande of Talisay City Police Station said that both victims were pinned down by an unidentified riding-in-tandem while inside a taxi.

Besande said that both companions of the victims were forced to get off the cab and unfortunately witnessed the crime.

Investigation is still on going as to the motive of the killing.

Meanwhile, Police Master Sergeant Joseph Villamor, a maritime police officer was also killed by an unknown riding-in-tandem in the village of Babag, Lapu-Lapu City on Friday.

Police Master Sgt. Nier Acebron of Lapu-Lapu City Police Station 3 considers a possibility of job related issue as the cause behind the killing of the 44-year old officer.

Acebron also confirmed that Villamor is currenntly assigned in Manila but returned to Cebu just to attend a court hearing regarding his case.

Recovered from the crime scene were 4 empty shells of 9mm slugs and another 2 deformed shells.
