Nagtapos ang 37 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) mula sa Leyte Regional Prison sa senior high school sa ilalim ng Alternative Learning System (ALS).
Ang programa ay isinagawa sa Cagbolo Senior High School bilang bahagi ng repormasyon at rehabilitasyon ng mga bilanggo.
Kinumpirma ng mga opisyal ng Department of Education (DepEd) sa Leyte ang pagsunod ng programa sa pambansang pamantayan sa edukasyon.
Ayon sa Bureau of Corrections, ang pagtatapos ay simbolo ng pagbibigay ng bagong pag-asa at pagkakataon para sa mga PDL.
‘Their completion of academic requirements was certified by Lea A. Robin EdD (Doctor of Education), Public Schools District supervisor of Abuyog South District, and confirmed by Mariza S. Magan EdD, CESO (Career Executive Service Officer) V Schools Division Superintendent of the Division of Leyte underscoring the program’s adherence to national educational standards,’ ayon sa naging mensahe.
