BAGUIO CITY – Four former rebels (FRs) received their benefits from the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) and financial grants from the government yesterday at Lagawe, Ifugao.
Department of Interior and Local Government – Ifugao Provincial Director Regina Elizabeth Mammag spearheaded the awarding of benefits to the four former rebels together with 54th Infantry Battalion (IB), Philippine Army and the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) – Ifugao.
One of them received P90,000 as firearm remuneration while the other three got financial grants amounting to P100,000.
The ceremony was participated by the committee members of the E-CLIP and PLGU-Ifugao.
Meanwhile, Lt. Col. Narciso Nabulneg, commanding officer of 54th IB, PA assured that E-CLIP Committee is committed to deliver the benefits intended for the FRs to start living a normal life.
He said that this is the time for the rebels who are still doubting in surfacing in the society to clear their names and renew their allegiance to the government of the Republic of the Philippines.
He assured that the doors of the government are widely open and willing to accommodate rebels without any hesitations or mental reservations.
LTC Nabulneg added, “these FR beneficiaries are the living proofs who are enjoying their lives with their families in the mainstream society. Don’t be a slave of your own fear, surface and live a peaceful and progressive live.”
