BAGUIO CITY – Authorities on Tuesday arrested 45 individuals for illegal gambling in a cockpit compound in Bangued, Abra.
In an interview of Bombo Radyo Baguio, PCol. Alredo Dangani, provincial director of Abra Provincial Police Office said that arrested individuals were composed of 44 male and a female.
The said individuals were arrested after they were caught illegally playing dice near a cockpit arena in Barangay Lipcan.
Dangani said that the illegal game is being played while a cock fight was on-going in the arena.
A dice and a bet money amounting to P14,650 were seized from the suspects.
The suspects are now facing charges of violating PD 1602 or illegal gambling./ with reports from Bombo Radyo Baguio; edited by Bombo Sol Marquez.
