Boluntaryong sumuko sa militar ang anim na miyembro ng teroristang Abu Sayyaf sa dalawang magkahiwalay na lugar sa probinsiya ng Sulu.
Ayon kay JTF Sulu Spokesperson Lt. Col. Roland Mateo, sumuko ang anim na Abu Sayyaf sa mga tropa ng 2nd Special Forces Battalion at 41st Infantry Battalion sa Panglima Estino, Indanan, Parang at Patikul.
Isinuko rin ng mga bandido ang kanilang limang high-powered firearms.
Dagdag pa ni Mateo, kanilang sisiguraduhin na mapabilang bilang recipient sa Task Force ELCAC programs ang mga sumukong bandido.
Siniguro naman ni Col. Antonio Bautista, Commander ng 1101st Brigade,palalakasin pa nila ang kanilang programa para mahikayat sumuko sa gobyerno ang iba pang mga bandidong Abu Sayyaf.
” Under the direction of the JTw.gooF Sulu, the 1101st Brigade will continue to attract more Abu Sayyaf to lay down arms and return to the folds of the law. we support the municipal Mayors in pursuing their respective Task Forces to End Local Armed Conflict,” mensahe ni Bautista.
Samantala, binati naman ni JTF Sulu Commander BGen. William Gonzales ang pagsuko ng anim na bandido.
Ayon kay Gonzales ang sumukong Abu Sayyaf members ay mga disgruntled members nina Mundi Sawadjaan at Radulan Sahiron.
