DAVAO CITY – The entire province of Davao Del Sur has been placed under State of Calamity after a magnitude 6.9 earthquake rocked the region.
The authorities have recorded a total of 6 deaths in Barangay Padada.
Based on the information gathered by the police, four of those who died came from different parts of Davao Del Sur together with a six-year-old victim who was trapped inside their own house.
The said victim was identified as Cherbelchen Ingador from Padada, Davao del Sur.
As of now, authorities assessed that six to seven people are still missing and were trapped inside Southgreen Commercial building.
Davao del Sur Gov. Douglas Cagas announced the suspension of all classes both in private and public schools.
17 barangays in Davao del Sur were also affected by the said incident.
