CEBU CITY – A 63-year old man was charged with parricide after killing his 59-year old wife due to alleged jealousy in Barangay Sapangdaku, Cebu.
Authorities identified the suspect as Leonides Roble while the victim, Calixta Roble.
Police Captain Dexter Basirgo, Guadalupe Police station commander told Bombo Radyo that the suspect was enraged after he caught in the act his wife having sex with their “kumpare” last week.
During the interrogation, Basirgo said that the suspect would rather want his wife dead instead of seeing her with someone else.
However, the suspect initially declared to the police investigators that his wife committed suicide.
But witnesses reported to the investigators that they saw Leonides stormed out of the victim’s house.
The police later apprehended Leonides and he then admitted killing his wife by strangling using a rope.
Calixta and Leonides separated for years because of the latter’s jealousy.
