Samut-saring mga armas, granada at bala ang nasabat sa pitong indibidwal sa search warrant implementation operation na tinawag na Oplan Paglalansag-Omega na pinangunahan ng mga tauhan ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG-QC-DFU) kaninang alas-2:00 ng madaling araw sa Quezon City, Manila at Mandaluyong.
Ang nasabing operasyon ng CIDG ay bunsod sa pinalakas na kampanya laban sa mga loose firearms at criminal gangs.
Sa nasabing operasyon, arestado ang mga sumusunod na suspeks na nakilalang sina Mark Ryan Cruz, Romina Raiselle Astudillo, Jaymie Gregorio, Dennise Velasco aka Kalbo, 43, isang negosyante; Joel Demate, Rodrigo Esparago aka Erwin at isang journalist na nakilalang is Lady Anne Salem aka Icy Anne Salem De Leon.
Nakuha sa bahay nina Cruz, Astudillo at Gregorio sa Unit 535, Tower B,M. Place Condominium, Panay Ave, South Triangle, Quezon City ang umano’y mga pieces of evidence na limang hand fragmentation grenades; 3 caliber .45 pistols; 2 caliber .9mm; isang caliber .38 revolver; 18 rounds of caliber .9mm ammunition; 3 rounds of caliber .38 ammunition, 19 assorted cellphones; 3 Macbook air laptop; 1 apple iPad, 14 bundles ng P1,000 bill na nagkakahalaga ng P1,276,000.00.
Habang sa bahay naman ng negosyanteng si Velasco sa 74 Ambroglio St., Casa Milan, Greater Lagro, Quezon City, nakuha sa posisyon nito ang mga sumusunod:
- MG7 fragmentation Grenade;
- One (1) caliber 5.56 armalite rifle;
- One (1) caliber .9mm pistol;
- Two (2) caliber .9mm magazines;
- One (1) armalite rifle magazine;
- Twenty (20) rounds of caliber 5.56 ammunition;
- One (1) caliber .45 pistol;
- Two (2) caliber .45 magazines;
- Eighty-four (84) rounds of caliber .45 ammunition;
- Three (3) caliber .22 pistols;
- Two (2) caliber .22 magazines;
- 144 rounds of caliber .22 ammunition;
- One (1) echo bag;
- One (1) back pack;
- One (1) Mac book;
- Two (2) cellphones;
- Two (2) USB; and
- Assorted suspected subversive documents.
Sa bahay naman ni Demate sa No. 2225, D5 Tejeron Street, Brgy 793, Sta Ana, Manila nakumpiska ang mga sumusunod: One (1) caliber .45 pistol; One (1) M16 rifle; One (1) Fragmentation grenade; One (1) caliber .45 magazine; One (1) M16 rifle magazine; Eight (8) assorted cellular phones; Twenty-nine (29) rounds of caliber 5.56 ammunition; Seven (7) rounds of caliber .45 ammunition; Four (4) assorted Identification Cards with different names; One (1) Lenovo Laptop.
Sa bahay naman ni Esparago at Salem sa Unit 617, Avida Towers Centera, Tower 3, EDSA cor. Relliance St., Mandaluyong City narekober ang mga sumusunod:
Four (4) caliber .45 pistols; Four (4) grenades; Four (4) caliber .45 magazines; Twenty-nine (29) rounds of caliber .45 ammunition; Three (3) assorted laptops; Three (3) external hard drives; Eight (8) assorted cellular phones; Five (5) sling bags; One (1) USB; and Four (4) assorted IDs.
Ayon sa CIDG, lahat ng search warrants ay inisyu ni Judge Cecilyn Burgos-Villavert, Executive Judge of RTC Br 89 Quezon City.
Kasong paglabag sa RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Law) at RA 9516 (Illegal Possession of Explosives) ang inihahanda ngayon ng PNP laban sa pitong mga suspeks.
Kasalukuyang nakakulong na sa CIDG-NCR headquarters ang mga inarestong suspeks.
