7-yr old kid dies after being fatally hit by a van in Kalinga

BAGUIO CITY – A 7-year-old boy was struck and killed by a van while riding his bicycle and playing on the sidewalk in CARAA Ground, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga Monday.

The victim was identified as Kimkim Addom, 7-year old, and a resident of Purok 7, Bulanao, Tabuk City while the suspect Christian Osngar, 19, a student and resident of Belong, Tinglayan, Kalinga.

Based on police investigation, Osngar, together with his siblings, was practicing their driving skills when the incident happened.

They were allegedly fighting on what direction should they take when they accidentally hit the victim.

Addom was rushed to the nearest hospital but he could not be saved and was declared dead on arrival.

The 19-year old suspect is now under police custody.
