Nasa 300 o 85% Health Care Workers ng Philippine Army (PA) ang nabigyan na ng COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) booster shot.

Layon nito na magkaroon ng dagdag proteksiyon laban sa nakamamatay na virus.

November 17, 2021 sinimulan na ng hukbo ang pag-roll out ng booster shot para sa kanilang mga medical frontliners.

Ayon kay Col. Jonna Dalaguit, commanding officer ng Army General Hospital (AGH) sa Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, nagpapatuloy ang kanilang pagturok ng booster shot sa kanilang mga health care workers.

“Since November 17 we were able to provide booster shots to our qualified personnel. Those who already had 2 vaccine doses and six months period after the last dose. The booster shot aims to provide our medical personnel additional protection so that they could provide better services to our soldiers, their dependents, and civilians. We also deploy medical teams to civilian treatment facilities to help the government fight COVID-19,” pahayag pa ni Col Dalaguit.

Sinabi pa ni Dalaguit na hindi lamang mga health care workers sa AGH ang binigyan ng booster shot kundi maging ang mga medical personnel na nasa iba’t ibang military treatment facilities sa buong bansa.
