Anthoy Joshua may have won but many were unconvinced that he was still the same AJ from years back.
The former unified heavyweight champion defeated Jermain Franklin via unanimous decision with a 118-111, 117-111 and 117-111 scores.
Dillian Whyte shared his thoughts to DAZN after the fight saying Joshua didn’t look particularly good in the fight.
AJ knew that a mistake from it could end his boxing career as he went cautious throughout the fight.
However, it impacted how the fans viewed that fight especially with him calling out Tyson Fury for as his next opponent.
With the way he performed, there’s little to none possibility that he’ll get Fury’s attention for a rematch.
“I think he’d be an underdog against Tyson Fury for sure. I don’t think it was a performance that will make people think he can beat Tyson Fury,” said Eddie Hearn in the post-fight conference.
“But I know he can box much better than that and when he faces an opponent that is coming to win, he will box much better than that and I know next time he fights he will box much better than that.
