Today marks the start of Ramadan and around 5,000 Muslims visited Golden Mosque in Manila since the moon sighting last night.
The celebration of Ramadan is every 9th month in the Islamic calendar and it lasts for one month.
Fasting, prayer, and reflection are the main activities that Muslims do during the celebration.
Right now the celebration is peaceful and organized, there are also police patrolling in Manila Golden Mosque.
Since the COVID-19 restrictions have been somewhat relaxed, Muslims can now freely go to the Golden Mosque.
