Itinuturing na historic and blessing ni Philippine Army Chief Lt Gen. Cirilito Sobejana ang pagbisita ni BARMM Chief Minister Ahod “Al-Haj Murad” Ebrahim sa Army Headquarters sa Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City kahapon.
Si Ebrahim ang kauna-unahang BARMM chief minister na bumisita sa Philippine Army Headquarters.
Ang pagbisita ni Ebrahim kay Sobejana ay bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng BARMM ng kanilang 2nd Founding Anniversary.
Siniguro ni Ebrahim, katuwang na sila ng militar para mapanatili ang peace and order sa Mindanao at magtuloy-tuloy na ang development sa rehiyon.
“I know and always believe that there will be a time that we will be converging together and now is the time. We are now here to continue the partnership. We will now march together in order to achieve lasting peace and progress,” pahayag pa ni Ebrahim.
Sa panig naman ng Army chief, sinabi nito na pangunahing hangad ng Philippine Army ay makamit ang pangmatagalang kapayapaan sa Mindanao.
Ngayong nasa panig na raw ng gobyerno ang MILF, hindi malayo na makamit na ang lasting peace and progress sa Bangsamoro region.
Mensahe naman ni Sobejana sa mga sundalong na panatilihin ang momentum sa kanilang mga operasyon.
“To attain peace in the island of Mindanao has always been the primordial motivation of the Philippine Army. Although the decades of conflicts in Mindanao had bred indifference and animosity; we are now in unity and reconciliation. A manifestation that we turn our wounds into wisdom rather than anger. We will walk side by side in this journey towards lasting peace and progress for the Bangsamoro region and our country as whole,” wika pa ni Lt. Gen. Sobejana.
