Ramon Tulfo, a broadcaster and special envoy to China, accused his brother Ben who got involved in a tourism ad scandal last year.

The elder Tulfo tweeted his view on the failed donation of former Foreign Affairs Albert del Rosario amounting to P500,000 to the 22 Filipino fishermen whose boat were rammed by a Chinese vessel in the West Philippine Sea.

Del Rosario was barred from entering Hong Kong after being held by immigration authorities for six hours.

“Former Foreign Secretary Albert del Rosario donating 500k to fishermen in the Recto Bank incident cheapens his act. He should be the last to do that coming as it does in the wake of his being barred from entering Hong Kong. He should have done that before he was refused entry,” Ramon tweeted.

Then a Twitter user replied to him, claiming that it was a good idea to donate P500,000 rather than stealing P60 million from the Philippine government.

Which Tulfo replied: “Di ako ang nagnakaw ng P60 million. Kapatid kong si Ben ‘yung tinutukoy mo.”

Earlier this month, Ramon said that Ben is the one to blame on the advertisement scheme that led to the resignation of their sister Wanda Tulfo-Teo as tourism secretary.

Ramon added that he even asked his brother to return the P60-million payment but Ben refused. / with reports from Bombo Christian Yosores; edited by Bombo Sol Marquez.
