As the campaign heads to homestretch, former Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Bong Go appealed to other candidates to stop spreading fake news.
Go made the statement after Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar called on the people to ignore fake news and stop spreading it.
Go admitted that other candiates resort to mudslinging and black propaganda just to get mileage and public attention.
“May mga pulitiko kasi na nambabato ng itim sa kalaban para magmukhang maputi,” Go said as he asked them to be “fair.”
The former aide of President Rodrigo Duterte asserted that what is important for him is to give service to the people.
Go expressed confidence that voters are intelligent enough and can not be swayed easily by fake news.
