Kinumpirma ng direktor na si Rob Zombie ang pagpanaw ng Acedmy Award nominee na si Michael J. Pollard sa edad na 80.
Nakilala si Pollard sa kaniyang mga pelikula tulad na lamang ng “Bonnie and Clyde” at “House of 1000 Corpses.”
“We have lost another member of our ‘House of 1000 Corpses’ family. I woke up to the news that Michael J. Pollard had died. I have always loved his work and his truly unique on-screen presence,” saad ni Zombie sa kaniyang Facebook post.
“He was one of the first actors I knew I had to work with as soon as I got my first film off the ground. He will be missed.”
Si Pollard ay isinilang noong 1939 sa Passaic, New Jersey. Dito ay nag-aral siya sa Montclair Academy at Actors Studio sa New York City. Nagsimula siyang tumanggap ng roles sa telebisyon noong ’50s kung saan natunghayan ang kaniyang galing bilang aktor sa mga palabas na “Lost in Spact” at “Star Trek.”
mas namayagpag ang karera ni Pollard noong gumanap siya bilang si C.W. Moss sa pelikulang Bonnie and Clyde noong 1997 kasama sina Warren Beatty at faye Dunaway.
Nakatanggap ang aktor ng Academy Award nomination for best supporting actor at BAFTA nomination bilang most promising newcomer.
