Promoters can only be held off this far by the pandemic coronavirus as Bob Arum strongly plans to stage boxing events starting June 9 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.
The legendary promoter who had Manny Pacquiao under his card will create a five matches event.
However, these boxers are only those inside the USA.
Currently, they are still waiting for the Nevada Athletics Commission for the approval while also a tighter protocols and procedures aim to protect all the essential people related to the fans.
Arum clarified that there will be no fans allowed.
“The key was getting enough testing, and we’ve got plenty of testing in Nevada to hold our events,” Arum said.
“Our protocols will be much more stringent than UFC had in Florida. In ours you wouldn’t have a fighter testing positive the day of the fight or the day before,” he added as UFC also plans to hold their fourth event in the Apex Center.
