Pumanaw na ang dating boxing cutman at trainer na si Nelson Cuevas sa edad na 80-anyos sa New York dahil sa coronavirus.
Ito ang kinumpirma ng kanyang biyuda kay New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame president Henry Hascup.
Si Cuevas ay unang naospital sa Bronx, New York.
Siya ay native ng Puerto Rico at naging professional welterweight boxer bago naging trainer at cutman.
Umabot din ng anim na dekada na naging bahagi siya ng mundo ng boxing kaya naman isinama ito sa New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame.
Kabilang sa tumayo siya bilang cutman ay kay two-weight world champion James “Buddy” McGirt, two-division champion Vinny Pazienza, kay 1976 Olympic gold medalist and longtime contender Howard Davis Jr. at siya ay naging trainer at cut man sa dating lightweight champion Carlos Ortiz.
