Buhay Partylist backs anti-discrimination bill, not SOGIE bill

VIGAN CITY – A member of a pro-life partylist clarified that their group support Sexual Orientation Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE) bill but only the Anti-discrimination bill.

This came after President Rodrigo Duterte certified the proposed law as urgent.

In an exclusive interview of Bombo Radyo, Buhay Partylist Rep. Lito Atienza expressed his confidence that the president will never certify SOGIE bill as urgent due to some of its “sub-agendas.” He also added that there are bill that contains “hidden” provisions that would allow same-sex marriage.

Atienza encouraged the members of LGBT community to not force their desire that everyone will accept the fact that one can change their sexual orientation from the time they were born until they reach adulthood.

He also believes that members of LGBT community discriminates themselves because of the provisions included in SOGIE bill.
