Ipinag-utos na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pag-iisyu ng isang “cease and desist” order kontra sa may-ari ng supermarket na gumuho sa bayan ng Porac, Pampanga dahil sa tumamang magnitude 6.1 earthquake noong Lunes ng hapon.
Matatandaang isa ang branch ng Chuzon Supermarket sa Porac sa mga lubhang napinsala sa nasabing lindol kung saan din namatay at na-trap ang ilang mga indibidwal.
Bukod sa gumuhong Chuzon supermarket sa Porac, mayroon ding tatlong iba pang branches ang naturang grocery store na nasa mga bayan naman ng Apalit, Guagua, at Santo Tomas.
“Well in a probability, the one who constructs the supermarket here could also be the one who constructed the others. I would like to presume that, although I stand corrected,†wika ni Pangulong Duterte sa ginanap na situation briefing sa Pampanga Provincial Hall.
“So it would be good at this time to just give them the advise to stop, [issue] cease and desist [order] in doing business until such time that the clearance [is] given by government,” dagdag nito.
Sinabi pa ni Pangulong Duterte, nakapanlulumo umano na gumuho ang branch ng Chuzon sa Porac kahit na apat na taon pa lamang itong nakatayo.
“There will be a lot of questions there because one it is a newly-built. The fact that the extensive damage was appalling that there was a collapse,” anang presidente.
“City engineer or whoever is competent [should] review the planning and inquire into what kind of material whether they were made or applied in right sizes or was there any shortcomings.”
