NAGA CITY – Typhoon Tisoy necessitated over 4,000 evacuees from different areas of Camarines Sur where they decided to stay temporarily in evacuation centers.

Based on information from Governor Migz Villafuerte, almost 4,019 families left their houses and spent their nights in the evacuation centers.

The said evacuees came from 81 barangays in 25 cities of CamSur that were considered as flood prone areas.

A total of 22 passengers were stranded in Pasacao Port going to Masbate.

The authorities are expecting a higher number of evacuees as soon as the typhooon hits the land today.

In Naga City, over 60 families already evacuated their houses in fear of flood if Naga River overflows.
