After Dmitry Bivol devastated Saul “Canelo” Alvarez last May 7. 2023, the Mexican superstar and pound for pound king excludes Bivol in his upcoming fights to protect his undisputed super middleweight championship belt.

On September 30, Canelo will fight Jermell Canelo at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas while Bivol will fight in October to defend his WBA light heavyweight world champion title.

It can be recalled that Bivol preserved his belt when he exposed Alvarez via unanimous decision. The undefeated Bivol (20-0, 11 KOs) stunned Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs).

According to ESPN reports, both camps are not interested in a rematch.

“I already beat him in that division, why should I give him a rematch?” Bivol revealed.

Likewise, Canelo promoter Eddie Hearns has not yet given any talks about it.

Meanwhile, potential future fights for Bivol include Unified Light Heavyweight Champion Artur Beterbiev, Sergey Kovalev, Marcus Browne and Eleider Alvarez.
