Binati ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED) ang 14 na mga unibersidad sa Pilipinas matapos na mapabilang sa Asia’s best higher education institutions (HEIs).

Una nang inilabas ng Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), isang global higher education think-tank at compiler of the world’s university rankings ang 650 universities sa rehiyon.

Sa naturang bilang may pitong mga unibersidad sa Pilipinas ang bagong nadagdag na kinabibilangan ng Ateneo De Davao University (ADDU), Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), Adamson University, Central Luzon State University (CLSU), Central Mindanao University (CMU), Central Philippine University (CPU) at Xavier University (XU).

Ang mga nabanggit ay napasama sa dati nang best universities sa Asya na kinapapalooban ng University of the Philippines (69), Ateneo de Manila University (135), De La Salle University (166), University of Santo Tomas (186), University of San Carlos (451-500), Mapua University (501-550) at ang Silliman University (501-550).

“Since 2016, many Philippine HEIs have gained increased exposure and visibility by attending educational fairs and international conferences, mobilizing student and faculty exchanges, and building strategic partnerships and linkages which have contributed to the fulfillment of this wonderful achievement,” ani De Vera sa isang statement.
