Tiniyak ni Chinese State Councilor at Foreign Minister Wang Yi na susuportahan ng China ang Pilipinas hanggang sa “matalo” na ang COVID-19.
“So let me emphasize that in the process of the Philippine people’s response to COVID-19, China as a friend of the Philippines and your closest neighbor, we will firmly stand with the people of the Philippines until the defeat of this virus,” wika ni Wang.
Ayon pa kay Wang, ang COVID-19 response at ang pagbangon ng ekonomiya ang dalawang pangunahing prayoridad ng China at ng Pilipinas.
“So we would like to suggest is that our two countries work together – focusing on Covid response and mutually beneficial cooperation and at sustained and new momentum to our relationship,” dagdag nito.
Dagdag ng opisyal, hindi naapektuhan ng pandemya ang ugnayan ng China at Pilipinas, kasabay ng pagtiyak na magkakaroon ng access ang Manila sa COVID-19 vaccine stock ng Beijing.
“And in our discussion today, we will also share with you my old friend, China’s stocks and announcements of China’s decision regarding vaccine cooperation,” ani Wang.
Una rito, binigyang-diin ni Foreign Affairs Sec. Teodoro Locsin Jr na mas pinalalim umano ng laban kontra sa COVID-19 ang relasyon ng dalawang bansa.
