With new Center and power forward Christian Wood, LeBron James held a training camp in San Diego to redeem Lakers’ 4-0 loss against Denver in the conference finals. September 28, 2023.
Wood with average 14.4 points and 7.3 rebounds in 242 regular-season games.is the last player that the Lakers added for the upcoming season in two-year contract.
Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka said that Wood can spread the floor with his length. He wants to see Woods’ fluid moves with Anthony Davis.
Forward Lebron plus Wood combined with Davis gave Pelinka excitement.
“He’s a phenomenal talent.” Pelinka said in news conference in El Segundo.
Pelinka added as reported in Los Angeles Times indicating Lebron is planning a redemption after a sweep loss.
“It’s staggering for a player who has 20 years under his belt already and is preparing for 21 like he’s a rookie,” Pelinka said.
