The lineup for the greatest music event of the spring has just been revealed, and it is dominated by international stars.
The first two days of Coachella, the yearly desert music festival in Indio, California, are scheduled to feature performances by Bad Bunny, a Puerto Rican pop sensation, and Blackpink, a Korean pop group. The third day’s headlining act will be Frank Ocean, whose original appearance at the 2020 event was canceled due to Covid-19.
The festival’s first weekend will be held from April 14 to 16, and its second will be from April 21 to 23. Although Coachella noted that Weekend 1 tickets were already “very limited,” the presale for tickets starts on Friday.
“For your best chance at passes, look to Weekend 2,” the festival announced on Twitter.
Other notable performers include rapper Saba, Spanish singer Rosala, Afrobeats icon Burna Boy, actor and DJ Idris Elba, and pop band MUNA. Weekend passes start at $499.
Rock performers including Beck and Rage Against the Machine performed at the inaugural Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, more commonly referred to as Coachella, in 1999. Despite always taking place at Empire Polo Field in Indio, it didn’t start its yearly ritual until 2001.
