The Los Angeles Lakers can finally breathe in peace after their superstar Anthony Davis suffered no major injury on his right thumb and will rejoin the team in the remaining games of the preseason until the NBA season-opener.
Davis, who was acquired through a trade in the offseason, suffered a right thumb sprain during the Lakers game against the Brooklyn Nets. The game was held at China where the NBA and the country are having dispute due to a tweet of Houston Rockets’ General Manager Daryl Morey regarding the recent issue between China and Hong Kong.
The colossal all-star was force to exit the game early as well as Nets superstar Kyrie Irving who aggravated his facial fracture injury.
The result of Davis’ MRI was negative from an injury. He then joined the Lakers practice to try if he can continue to play and it was according to the report was great.
Cleared to play, Davis will see action against the new-face Golden State Warriors in the preseason after sitting out on their previous match.
The former New Orleans Pelican franchise player had an impressive debut for the Lakers as he will likely be the anchor of their offense with LeBron James controlling the helm.
The heavy contender Lakers is currently 2-1 (win-loss) in the NBA preseason 2019.
