Binuweltahan ng isang opisyal ng Department of Education ang umano’y paninira na ginawa ng Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) sa naturang kagawaran.
Ayon kay DepEd Usec. Alain Pascua na nais lamang palabasin ng ACT na ang gobyerno ay “insincere,” “heartless” at ipakita na ang tanging solusyon ay ang resignation ni Sec. Leonor Briones at ang ouster ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Pahayag ito ni Pascua matapos sitain ng mga kinatawan ng ACT sa Kamara ang DepEd at sabihan itong resolbahin ang matagal nang problema sa kakulangan sa mga pasilidad, learning resources, at teaching at non-teaching personnel sa mga pampublikong paaralan.
Ginawa naman ng ACT solons ang panawagan na ito makaraang ibunyag ng isang guro sa Bacoor National High School ang kanilang sitwasyon sa naturang paaralan kung saan ginawa na nilang faculty room ang isang palikuran.
“So what is the purpose of such propaganda? Simple, ACT would want to show that this government led by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and his alter ego Education Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones are not caring but insincere, ‘sinungaling,’ heartless and all those usual slogans and labels they shout at the streets, and the only solution is for the Secretary to resign and for the President to be ousted!†saad ni Pascua sa isang statement.
“And yet they asked that they be consulted, that they be dialogued with, and that they be heard…. by the very same President they want to oust and the very same Secretary they want to resign. They call that freedom of expression!†dagdag pa nito.
