The Department of Education (DepEd) reported that more than 11.8 million students have already enrolled for the School Year (SY) 2023-2024.

This is more than a week since the enrollment period in public schools began.

According to the latest data from DepEd, 11,820,159 students have enrolled for the upcoming school year, which is set to begin in public schools on August 29.

Based on the Learner Information System (LIS) Quick Count for SY 2023-2024, the National Capital Region (NCR) recorded the highest enrollment number so far, with 1,816,469 students.

Calabarzon has 1,762,095 students and Central Luzon has 1,378,741 students.

DepEd reminded parents, guardians, and students that the enrollment period, which started on August 7 and will remain open until August 26. 

In addition, DepEd also reminded Alternative Learning System (ALS) students that they can register in their respective barangays, community learning centers, or the nearest public school.
