Despite three months delayed, the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame handed out the 2019 Fighter of the Year award to the WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney.
Haney, a 21-year old is the youngest world champion for the last 23 years after competing a feat against Alfredo Santiago.
At the young age, “The Dream” Haney has already put an amazing boxing record with no blemish (24 wins, 0 loss, 15 KOs).
“It is an honor to be given such an award. I work hard, and I have the right team around me. My goal is to be mentioned with the greats of this sport. Awards are special but more importantly I want the big fights,” said Haney on an article from worldboxingnews.net.
