Kumpiyansa si US President Donald Trump na makukuha ni Vice President Mike Pence ang nominasyon ng Republican party para sa 2020 elections.
Ito’y matapos na kumpirmahin ni Trump na si Pence pa rin ang kanyang pipiliing running mate sa darating na halalan.
Ayon kay Trump, masaya raw ito sa naging performance ni Pence bilang kanyang pangalawang pangulo.
“I think Mike Pence has been an outstanding VP,” wika ni Trump. “I think that he has been incredible in terms of the love that a lot of people, especially if you look at the evangelicals and so many the others, they really have a great respect for the vice president, and so do I. And so do I think most people.”
Sinabi ni Trump bagama’t may ilang mga inilulutang pangalan upang palitan si Pence sa ticket, wala raw siyang planong talikuran ang kanyang bise presidente.
“A lot of the people, amazingly, they bring different names up and they brought a lot of different names,” ani Trump. “That’s, by the way, standard. That’s standard. Everybody thought that President Obama was going to change Biden. They thought second term, he was going to change that. Everybody thought that, but he didn’t do that. But no, I’m very happy with Mike Pence.”
Bilang kasalukuyang pangulo, inaasahang makukuha ni Trump ang nominasyon ng Republicans para sa pagkapangulo sa 2020.
