Disney announced some rule changes that will take effect on May 1. The use of oversized strollers and smoking will be restricted inside Florida and California Disney parks such as Walt Disney World, Disneyland theme parks, water parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and Downtown Disney.

However, there will be designated areas where guests are allowed to smoke outside park entry points and in smoking areas at Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs.

Disney expects more tourists this year as they will unveil the new “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge” land in Disneyland in California by the end of May and at Hollywood Studios in Florida by the end of August.

“As we expand our offerings, we will continue to take steps to enhance the guest experience and make it more enjoyable for everyone who visits,” said a Disney spokeswoman.

Large strollers, she added, will be banned as these take up space in queues and cause traffic.

Disneyland raised their ticket prices in January for the “Star Wars” summer opening with an average increase of 8% although ticket prices may vary.
