The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) currently looks into the possible liability of the recruitment agency of the 35-year-old overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who was allegedly killed by a 17-year-old son of its employer in Kuwait.

DMW Undersecretary Hans Cacdac said that Undersecretary Bernard Olalia is checking on this issue.

(The first thing that I see here is, the agency’s monitoring. Under the DMW rules, there should have regular monitoring and reporting about the OFW’s situation, especially those who are working in a house.)

According to DMW Undersecretary Cacdac, there was no single report that Jullebee Ranara has any issue with her employer.

However, this Sunday, Ranara was found dead in the desert, it was reportedly burned.

Based on the reports, she was raped, impregnated, beaten, and ran over by a car twice.
