MANILA – Umapela ang Department of Health (DOH) sa publiko na huwag gumamit ng antibody test matapos maturukan ng bakuna laban sa COVID-19.
Kasunod ito ng apela ng House Committee on Health para magkaroon ng guidelines o panuntunan laban sa paggamit ng antibody test matapos ang vaccination.
“The DOH does not recommend antibody testing to confirm if you are protecting against COVID-19 after vaccination. A negative antibody test does not mean that the COVID-19 vaccine did not work,” ani Health Usec. Maria Rosario Vergeire sa isang statement.
Pinapayuhan ng ahensya ang publiko na magpa-konsulta muna sa doktor bago sumailalim sa diagnostic test.
“Because these should only be performed with professional guidance.”
Iginiit din ng kagawaran na hindi inirerekomenda ng US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ang antibody testing matapos ang COVID-19 vaccination.

Binigyang diin ng Health department na dumaan sa regulatory process ng Food and Drug Administration at mga eskperto ang bawat bakuna na ginawaran ng “emergency use authorization” sa bansa.
“Moreover, even if they are fully vaccinated, they should still follow the MPHS (minimum public health standards).”
