Department of Justice (DoJ) said they are hopeful that PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group will follow the deadline given to the agency in submitting additional documents in connection with the sedition case filed against Vice President Leni Robredo.

This is in relation with “Project Sodoma” that allegedly sought to publicly criticize President Rodrigo Duterte, his government, family members, and other government officials in illegal drug trade.

DoJ said they want to conduct the investigation on the complaint as soon as possible. However, the documents filed by PNP-CIDG were incomplete.

It did not contain the complete address of the respondents.

The agency on Wednesday gave CIDG 24 hours to submit the needed documents.

Implicated in the complaint are, among others, Vice President Ma. Leonor Robredo; former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV; Jonnel P. Sangalang, a member of his staff; Eduardo Acierto; Senators Ana Theresa Hontiveros-Baraquel and Leila De Lima; Lawyers Atty. Abdiel Dan Elijah Fajardo; Atty. Minerva Ambrosio; Atty. Egon Q. Cayosa; Atty. Theodore Te; Atty. Serafin Salvador; Atty. Philip Sawali; Opposition candidates in the last Senatorial Elections Gary C. Alejano; Atty. Florin Hilbay; Atty. Romulo Macalintal; Atty. Jose Manuel Diokno; Samira Gutoc-Tomawis; Paolo Benigno A. Aquino; and Atty. Lorenzo TaƱada III; and clergy members Fr. Robert Reyes; Fr. Albert E. Alejo; Bro. Armin Luistro; Bishop Honesto F. Ongtico; Bishop Teodoro C. Bacani, Jr.; Archbishop Pablo Virgilio S. David; and Archbishop Socrates Villegas.
