Nagmatigas si WBC world bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire na hindi na niya itutuloy ang laban kay WBO world bantamweight champion John Riel Casimero.
Ang all-Pinoy championship sana ay gagawin sa August 14.
Kabilang sa dahilan ni Donaire sa pag-atras sa unification fight ay ang kabiguan daw ng kampo ni Casimero na agad na sumailalim sa random drug testing na isinasagawa ng Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) ng Amerika.
Noong nakaraang Biyernes daw ang itinakda ni Donaire pero araw na ng Sabado nakapagsumite ng papeles si Casimero.
Kabilang pa sa dahilan nang tinaguriang The Filipino Flash sa pagbasura sa laban ay ang pambabastos daw ng kampo ni Casimero sa misis ni Donaire na si Rachel.
Maging si Casimero umano ay wala rin daw respeto sa kanya.
Samanta sa live video na na-post ng misis ni Nonito na si Rachel sa social media, dito nagkainitan sina Nonito at ang kampo ni Casimero sa pamamagitan ng manager na si Marc Yao.
Sinasabing kung natuloy ang laban at manalo si Donaire, baka raw maging daan ito sa pinakakaantay na rematch niya sa Japanese superstar na si Naoya Inoue.
“I am known to take stands people are afraid to take. I STAND for VADA 24/7/365 testing for ALL boxers. This should never be refused or delayed. I stand against BULLYING in any form. I STAND against the disrespect and ABUSE of women and children physically, mentally and emotionally. AND I STAND against misogynistic culture. A grown man recently told the mother of my boys to ‘snack on his —-‘. We cannot ignore this unprofessional behavior. We cannot excuse the disgusting trolling memes created of my wife as ‘just for entertainment’. I don’t want other pro athletes to cross this line and think this type of behavior is acceptable. We have to maintain a respectable character, especially online, for the future generations to emulate, and not promote ignorance and foul behavior,” bahagi ng statement ni Donaire.
