CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The family of Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Cadet 4th Class Darwin Dormitorio, 20, said that they will be filing charges against several upperclassmen that caused the death of Dormitorio.

In an interview of Bombo Radyo with Michelle Usman, Darwin’s aunt, said their family will make sure the suspects will be held liable for the crime.

Usman also said that the lawsuit should be a lesson to all PMA officials and cadettes in order to stop the culture of hazing inside the institution.

The victim was found unconscious in the barracks of the academy and was rushed to Fort del Pilar Hospital in Baguio City on Tuesday, September 17. He was declared dead on arrival.

It was found that Dormitorio died due to “blunt force trauma.”
