Sasabak sa kanyang huling PBA game si Phoenix big man Doug Kramer makaraang ianunsyo nito sa kanyang social media accounts na magreretiro na ito matapos ang 12 taon sa liga.
“Yes. I’m retiring after 12 years in the pros,” saad ni Kramer sa kanyang post sa Instagram.
Bagama’t hindi tinukoy ni Kramer ang dahilan ng kanyang pagreretiro, tiniyak nitong hindi ito dahil sa injury.
“I’ll explain in depth soon why I’m hanging it up. And no, it’s not injuries, I’m healthy as ever!” ani Kramer. “So blessed to be able to enjoy this game dating back to 17 yrs ago 2002 in Ateneo as a Blue Eagle.”

Susubukang makabawi ng Phoenix, na nasa kulelat na 2-8 kartada, lalo pa’t malapit nang matapos ang elimination round ng Governors’ Cup.
Matapos ma-draft bilang fifth overall ng Air21 Express noong 2007, naglaro rin si Kramer sa mga koponan ng GlobalPort (NorthPort) at San Miguel Beer.
“There’s still much to do, I’m 36 years young and got so much to prove and make an impact outside of basketball,” dagdag nito. “To my brothers in the PBA, and my brothers in the Phoenix, it’s this brotherhood I’ll miss.”
