The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has assured that there are more than 370,000 family food packs (FFPs) are ready for distribution to the local government units (LGUs) that are in need of relief augmentation support.
As of April 21, the Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC) stated that a total of 370,058 FFPs worth P188.61 million were available for distribution.
It also showed that more than P527 million worth of non-food items and more than P306 million worth of other food items were also readied as part of the agency’s stockpile.
Currently, DSWD’s total reserve funds amounted to P562 million. Of the said figures, P517.99 million has been allocated as available standby funds at the DSWD Central Office and P44.35 million at various field offices.
The DSWD reported during the weekend that it has reserve funds and available inventories amounting to over P1.59 billion.
However, it assured the public that it has available funds to augment the needed resources of the LGUs that will be affected by Bising.
