Duterte appoints CA Justice Zalameda as new SC justice

President Rodrigo Duterte has named Court of Appeals (CA) Justice Rodil Zalameda as the new Supreme Court justice.

Zalameda will replace Supreme Court (SC) Associate Justice Mariano del Castillo who retired from his position last July 29 after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 70.

With the appointment of Zalameda, the High Court has likewise completed the membership of the three divisions.
