Maagang inanunsyo ngayon ng Malacañang ang inaprubahan ng Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na mga holidays at special workings para sa taong 2022

Ito ay batay sa Proclamation No. 1236 na pirmado ng pangulo na nagtataksa sa mga regular holidays, non-working days, at special working days sa susunod na taon.

“Whereas, for the country to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a need to encourage economic productivity by, among others, minimizing work disruptions and commemorating some special holidays as special (working) days instead,” ani Duterte sa naturang proklamasyon. “The Department of Labor and Employment shall promulgate the implementing guidelines for this Proclamation.”

Samantala doon naman sa prokalamsyon sa deklarasyon ng national holidays para sa observance ng Eid’l Fitr at Eid’l Adha nakadepende na rin ito sa rekomendasyon ng National Commission on Muslim Filipinos.
