Inatasan ngayon ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) na magsagawa ng imbestigasyon sa nangyaring shootout sa pagitan ng mga operatiba ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at PNP sa Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City.
Kasabay nito, iniutos ni Pangulong Duterte sa joint panel na binuo ng PNP at PDEA na itigl na ang kanilang ongoing investigation.
Inihayag ni Sec. Roque na layunin nitong magkaroon ng patas o impartial na imbestigasyon sa insidente.
“President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has directed the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to conduct a probe on the shootout in Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City. The President likewise ordered the joint panel formed by the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) to discontinue their ongoing investigation. This is to ensure impartiality on the Quezon City shootout incident,” ani Sec. Roque.
