Kinumpirma ni Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo na sasailalim si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa self-quarantine sa kanyang pagdiriwang ng ika-75 kaarawan bukas, Marso 28.
Sinabi ni Sec. Panelo, alinsunod ito sa payo ng Presidential Security Group (PSG) at kanyang mga doktor.
Ayon kay Sec. Panelo, para na rin ito sa proteksyon ni Pangulong Duterte at ilang opisyal na na-expose o nakahalubilo ang isang kumpirmadong COVID-19 patient.
Inihayag naman ni Sec. Panelo na kahit naka-quarantine, patuloy pa rin sa trabaho si Pangulong Duterte.
Tanging “birthday wish” daw ni Pangulong Duterte ay manatili sa mga bahay ang ating mga kababayan at lubusang pagkawala ng coronavirus 2019.
“PRRD will self-quarantine himself on his birthday tomorrow following the advice of the PSG as well as doctors for his protection following his exposure to some officials who themselves have been exposed to a confirmed Covid-19 victim. He will continue with his work while on quarantine. His only birthday wish is for our countrymen to stay home and the total eradication of the corona virus,” ani Sec. Panelo.
