Kinumpirma ng Japanese team na Toyama Grouses na kinuha na rin nila bilang import ang Fil-Am rising star na si Dwight Ramos.

Si Ramos ang pang-walong Pinoy na maglalaro sa Japan sa 2021-22 B.League season.

Kung maalala si Ramos, 23, ay maglalaro sana sa Ateneo, habang naging impresibo naman ang kanyang pagiging bahagi sa national team Gilas Pilipinas lalo na sa 2021 FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers.

Ang 6-foot-4 guard ay nag-a-average ng 13.8 points at 46 percent sa 3-point area.

“I am very excited to play in the city of Toyama, it is a dream to play in such a beautiful city and country in Japan,” ani Ramos sa statement. “I hope to win a lot of games and bring pride to the city of Toyama together with my new teammates. I hope to see the fans at our games cheering for us all season.”

Ang iba pang Pinoy na maglalaro sa Japan ay sina Thirdy Ravena (San-En NeoPhoenix), Kiefer Ravena (Shiga Lakestars), Bobby Ray Parks (Nagoya Diamond Dolphins), Kobe Paras (Niigata Albirex BB), at si Javi Gomez de Liano (Ibaraki Robots) sa first division, gayundin sina Juan Gomez de Liano (Earthfriends Tokyo Z) at Kemark Carino (Aomori Wat’s) sa second division.
