Para kay dating Sen. Bongbong Marcos hindi pa maituturing na tagumpay ng kampo ni Vice Pres. Leni Robredo ang pagtatapos ng ballot recount sa kanyang electoral protest kaugnay ng 2016 national elections.
“We are appalled by the brazenness of Mrs. Robredo in claiming victory in my still ongoing election protest just as the tribunal announced that no action has been taken by the court on the Caguioa report,” ani Marcos.
Ayon sa natalong vice presidential candidate, malinaw na tinangkang manipulahin ng kampo ni Robredo ang trabaho ng Presidential Electorial Tribunal (PET).
“Clearly, there has been a concerted effort to intimidate and coerce the Tribunal with their underhanded mind conditioning tactics,” dagdag ng dating senador.
Nitong Martes nang inanunsyo ni Supreme Court spokesperson Brian Hosaka na tinapos na ni Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa ang bilangan sa balota ng 5,415 polling precincts ng mga lalawigang pinili ni Marcos.
Kabilang dito ang Iloilo, Negros Oriental at Camarines Sur.
“We assure the Tribunal of our commitment to abide by the subjudice rule.”
Batay sa resultang inilabas ng Commission on Elections noong 2016, lumabas na lamang ng higit 260,000 na boto si Robredo laban kay Marcos.
