Zion Williamson has exited the NBA bubble at the Disney World in Florida after an urgent family matter came.
The New Orleans Pelicans supported 2020 first overall pick on his decision to leave while also keeping mum on what specifically happened.
“We fully support Zion’s decision to leave the NBA campus to be with his family. Out of respect for the Williamson family, we will have no further comment at this time,” said David Griffin, Pelicans executive vice president of basketball operations.
The good news is that Williamson will be able to join and return to his team before the season resumes.
There are several conditions he has to do while outside the bubble. He can be tested daily, thus, reducing his quarantine at the bubble to four days while if he failed to get tested every day, he will be quarantined for a week.
