Kinumpirma ng isang business process outsourcing company sa Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, na isa sa kanilang mga empleyado ang nag-positibo sa novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Sa inilabas na statement ng Deloitte Philippines, inanunsyo nila na may empleyado sila na nag-test positive sa sakit.
“We confirm that a colleague in our Deloitte Philippines office has tested positive for COVID-19,” ayon sa kompanya.
“The colleague is currently in hospital receiving treatment and further tests, and Deloitte is supporting the colleague and family in every way we can,” dagdag ng Deloitte.
“The health and safety of our people, our clients and our community is our highest priority, and our immediate response has been to take all necessary actions to manage the situation.”
Kilalang nagsisilbi sa industriya ng financial advisory, management consultancy at iba pang negosyo ang nasabing BPO firm.
Wala pang statement ang Department of Health (DOH) hinggil sa anunsyo ng kompanya.
Hindi rin malinaw kung ito ay mula sa dalawang bagong kaso na inanunsyo ng Health department kahapon.
Kung maaalala, tinukoy ng DOH ang dalawang bagong kaso na isang 48-year old na lalaking may travel record sa Japan.
Ang isa naman ay 62-year old na lalaki na bagama’t walang travel record ay natukoy na regular na bumibisita sa isang Muslim prayer hall sa Greenhills, San Juan.
Ayon sa kompanya, patuloy ang kanilang monitoring sa sitwasyon, gayundin ang pagpapatupad ng mga advisory ng DOH.
