The enhanced website of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) is now on parallel run (https://beta.bsp.gov.ph) with its current website (www.bsp.gov.ph).
This is in preparation for the enhanced version’s scheduled live run in mid-October.
“The new website is in line with the BSP’s efforts to bring the central bank closer to the people. We have now made the new website more responsive and friendly to website users,” according to BSP Governor Benjamin Diokno.
The enhanced BSP website is mobile-friendly to make information about the BSP more readily available at one’s fingertips anytime and anywhere.
Among the highlights of the new website are the “Governor’s Thoughts” which carries the Governor’s latest tweets and speeches; a carousel to engage the users with visual story highlights; and a “What’s New” section to show the most recent press releases and advisories.
Moreover, the BSP’s chatbot named BOB (BSP Online Buddy) will be accessible on the enhanced website to assist consumers with complaints against BSP-Supervised Financial Institutions.
The current BSP website garnered more than 8.8 million page views from January to mid-September 2020.
The most visited sections during said period are the Reference Exchange Rate Bulletin, Homepage and Regulations Overview.
